Look on the Bright Side – Teeth Whitening to Enhance Your Smile

Have you longed for a Hollywood smile but not been able to have one?  Lucky for you the big white smile is trending now towards a more natural, brighter look.

How do I get my teeth to look brighter?

Dental hygiene is the first place to start when it comes to getting brighter teeth.  If you haven’t had a professional clean in a while, then now is a good time to do that.  Then you should tweak your own home dental hygiene habits to ensure that you are managing to maintain your new clean smile.

Now my mouth is clean, how can I whiten my teeth?

There are a number of options to getting your beautiful, bright smile.  One warning I would give is to steer clear of over the counter treatments such as charcoal whiteners, etc.  These can be very abrasive and can actually damage your teeth.   We recommend rather that you have a whitening consultation with your hygienist to help you decide which of the following whitening treatments are best for you.

Zoom Whitening in-office option.

Zoom is a brand that uses a specialized light to help your whitening process along.  This is a great, quick way to get your teeth a bit brighter in one session.  If you are not one for having the hassle to remember to do it at home, this is the option for you.

Smile before and after bleaching. Dental care and whitening teeth. Result of teeth whitening. Teeth Whitening Before After. Yollow or white teeth

Dental White Beauty Home Whitening option.

Again, this is still a specialized treatment even though you are doing the whitening in the comfort of your own home.  Your hygienist will make you individualized whitening trays and prescribe the right type of whitening treatment for you.  You can then whiten to your heart’s content at home.  It usually takes about 2 weeks to get a good result and the great thing is that you can boost the whitening effect every so often by yourself at home.

Want even whiter results?

Do a combo of the above treatments. You will get a big boost in your results by doing the Zoom and then get a better depth over time doing the home treatment too.

What if my teeth a skew?

You can still whiten your teeth even if they are skew.  But if you want to consider options to have them straightened then talk to us at Enamel Dentistry.  We have many options to help you straighten your teeth.

Our hygienist is very knowledgable in whitening, book your clean today and you can discuss your whitening options with her.
